“Reemtsma-Ukraine” company: "We can fully focus on our business activities"

- “Reemtsma-Ukraine” is a holding company, it comprises some enterprises. Just after company foundation, there appeared a need of creating corporate info network which would connect holding local networks - 11 company’s trade representations, 26 regional storehouses and 3 head offices in Kiev and Cherkassy - to form common information space with the direct access to Hamburg, Germany. Developing of this network started in 1998. Having access points in all necessary locations, Infocom offered a solution in the form of UkrPack transport network. Initially, the information network was based on the Х.25 protocol. However, as a result of technical and economical parameters analysis there was made a conclusion to start using Frame Relay technology provided by Infocom. Infocom won Internet providers tender hold between six companies.

Our joint work with Infocom is built on the basis of strong data transmission services requirements. Since Reemtsma-Ukraine works in the field of business with stiff competition, it needs data transmission features to succeed. Thanks to collaboration with such companies as Infocom, we can permit ourselves not to have our staff specialists in IT who must be paid properly. Responsibilities of our few IT-specialists come to nothing more than stating principal requirements for data transmission features reasoning from purposes of business process effective management. The very process of adjusting technical requirements with Infocom is not complicated and very active.

Infocom is responsible for our corporate network working capacity, starting from its entry point and covering all the channels in Ukraine.
