"Ukrposhta" obtained the up-to-date informational infrastructure.

Such a heading associated with the whole activities was offered by Andrey Pavlik, Director of Information Technologies Center of Ukrposhta.

Ukrainian State Enterprise of Posts "Ukrposhta" is the largest operator of postal service in the country. The enterprise comprises 27 regional directorates, Directorate of Treatment and Transportation of Mail, “Avtotransposhta” and publishing house “Marka Ukrainy”. The network is consisted of 25 main post offices, 498 postal hubs and 14953 urban and rural post offices.

Demands of the times made us arrive to a conclusion about the need of updating our enterprise info structure. Enhancement of department management efficiency, widening the range of services, including those based on modern technologies, required to have corporate communication infrastructure of national scale.

The company who solved this problem was Infocom JV. Infocom’s operatives implemented a great part of project in a short period of time. It took only half a year to build the telecom infrastructure which enabled our enterprise to maintain interaction between all directorates more effectively, to improve technology of documents circulation, to start using corporate telephony, automated system of “Revenue Management ” and a network of Internet points.

The system is a striking example of multi-service corporate network which enables Ukrposhta to provide people not only with traditional postal services but also with services of using modern info technologies. Such world-popular services as electronic money transfers, e-mail, hybrid mail, Internet access and also IP-telephony both between cities in Ukraine and abroad.

At that, an important point is service improving, reliability, ensuring scaling and system handling as a whole.
