Polishchuk Vasyl Grygorovych

Mr. Polishchuk was born in 1950 in Kiev region. Received higher education. Graduated from Kiev Polytechnic Institute in 1975, qualification - electrical engineer.
Candidate of Science Engineering (1997). The dissertation title was "Telecommunication systems and their management"

Has 28 years of experience in communications field.

Started his professional life in the Data Processing Center of the Ministry of Communications of Ukraine, where he rose from a technician to the Chief Engineer of the enterprise.

 

With his direct participation, automated control systems were developed and implemented into the industry, automation-equipped working places were created, up-to-date models of computer facilities, software, advanced information and telecommunication technologies were settled and used efficiently, as well as computer-based systems of payment for telephone services were upgraded and implemented.

 

In that complicated situation of market relations which had been established by that time in Ukraine, Mr. Polishchuk, using his working experience in communications, his knowledge, professional qualities and authority as a leader, initiated the foundation of Infocom Joint Ukrainian-German Venture, the first enterprise of such a kind in the telecommunication industry. In 1992 the company obtained License No.1 from the Ministry of Communications of Ukraine.

He was awarded an order of "Gold Mercury" for the merits in the sphere of social and economic development of Ukraine (1997), the Mikhail Grushevsky Order for Development of Ukraine (2003), the Diploma of Leonid Kuchma, the President of Ukraine (1999), the Diploma of Verkhovna Rada (the Parliament of Ukraine), (2002). The Ukrainian Orthodox Church confered the II degree Prince Vladimir on him (2002), also, he was decorated with an Order for Merits, III degree (2002, by presidential edict).
Besides, he was marked with branch awards: the Honourable Mention Plaque of the Ministry of Communications of Ukraine (1997), and a badge of  The Honourable Communicator of Ukraine (1998).

 

Married, has a son.
